HOW TO BUY A TICKET
All riders will need to purchase a ticket or ‘book’ for the trail ride/s of their choice.
Tickets can be purchased online by clicking on the button at the end of each ride description on this page.
REGISTRATION
This year we will have a registration ‘office’. When you arrive and settle, come to the office with your COMPLETED horse health declaration forms and waiver forms. We will also have a registration tent at the Woolooga Saleyards for those starting from there on Saturday.
You will be asked to hand in your forms and then be allocated a numbered tag, which MUST be securely attached to your saddle and clearly visible to ride marshals on the day.
You can also collect any pre-ordered merchandise at registration.
RIDE BRIEFINGS
There will be a COMPULSORY ride briefing held 30-minutes before the ride departs. Please be on time and come with your horse either mounted or led and ready to leave. Make sure you have your water and snacks packed and your saddle tag is secured on your saddle. The ride marshal will go over any safety issues and some ride ‘rules’. This is a good time to ask questions if you need to.
MORNING TEA & LUNCH FOR LONG RIDES
All riders registering for the long rides on Saturday will be emailed a link to order morning tea & lunch for the rest stops. It is important we know how many people to cater for as the stops are nowhere near a corner shop! Our caterers will appreciate you placing your order in advance.
MAIN STREET PARADE
Killkivan Great Horse Ride culminates in its iconic Main Street Parade through the township of Kilkivan at 4.00pm on Saturday afternoon. All riders that have registered and completed a waiver form are encouraged to join in, but it isn’t compulsory. The main street is about a 15-minute ride from the showgrounds.
